Maarva Andor saying "We've been sleeping" as a larger metaphor about how people have collectively failed to notice the slow withdrawal of the light from the galaxy. Of how it’s there, but overshadowed or stolen. 

The line, “The Empire is a disease that thrives in darkness. it is never more alive than when we sleep.”  And the image of Nemik sleeping at the start of the Aldhani arc and then sleeping in death and the idea of sleepers within the earth, bearers of magic , speakers of truth like the legends of Arthur one day waking up and returning to bring light and peace to the land and of how the land itself is a reflection of its people, of the powerful symbiotic relationship between the two-the inhabitants of Kenari whose planet was stolen from them, the Narkinians whose water was poisoned, the Aldhani who were forcibly removed from the highlands and eventually denied their sacred rites, and how the greatest evil is to remove a people from the land that gave birth to them. 

How the Force manifests in different ways, is within the land, within people, within everything. How there are as many expressions of the Force as there are types of life and living beings and energy in the universe because the Force is life itself. 

The sky kyber as a reflection of the Force, a reminder. Cassian who sleep walks through much of the series before slowly waking up to his path. The repetition of “Climb!”, a climb out of darkness, out of sleep, and into the light of freedom and awareness of self. 

And then compare this with the wealthier residents of Coruscant who are dreamers, perpetually asleep, living above the poor who literally live down in darkness. We need that distinction to know when to sleep and when to wake, but for them it is always dark, there is always that strong impulse to sleep, that dulling of the senses. Light and wakefulness are being denied them. But they can still dream. 

Cassian Andor is like Prometheus stealing fire and passing it on one heist, one manifesto, one prison break at a time. His sacrifice helps save the galaxy from darkness, from bondage, and perpetual sleep.

[ID: Two comics of Vash and Wolfwood from Trigun Maximum. The second is underneath the read more.

The first is in four panels and follows Vash and Wolfwood through hotel rooms. First, Vash and Wolfwood exit adjacent rooms, and Wolfwood has sparkles floating around him as he exclaims, “Rise and shine! Ready to go?” Vash frowns, displeased, and says, Urk— Good morning to you too.”

Next, they’re in a room with two beds. Wolfwood is awake and fully dressed. He’s sitting on the bed and smoking, back turned away from the viewer and he says, “Wake up already, sleepyhead.” Vash sits up with his eyes still closed and yawns before saying good morning. After that, they’re sharing a bed, and Wolfwood gets up and says, “Morning, sunshine. Time to get up.” His body shadows Vash from the sunlight. Vash is still lying down with a blanket draped over him as he mumbles good morning.

Finally, they’re embracing in bed, both shirtless. Sunlight shines on them, but their contact allows their shadows to drape over their faces. Vash smiles, kisses the top of Wolfwood’s head, and says, “Good morning, Wolfwood.” Wolfwood sleepily says, “Mph, g’morning, needle-noggin’,” snuggling into on Vash’s shoulder. End ID] ID CREDIT

Livio says, “I’m sorry.” Vash, smiling but sweating, says, “No, it’s my bad...” Livio repeats, “I’m sorry.” Vash says, “Geez, stop apologizing,” and cuts off Livio’s “I—” with a “Good morning, Livio.” Livio quietly mumbles, “... Good morning...”

You know how people can sleepwalk and cook, drive considerable distances (with better driving than me awake), et cetera? It's funny to think of Batfamily members vigilante-ing while under slow wave sleep and Batman doing a double take because he realizes nothing quippy has been said this entire time and promptly carries whichever kid it is back home.

asked my friends none of them had this but i surely can't be the only one so

has any of you ever seen these.. tv static kinda pictures whenever you're almost asleep and then a sudden sound wakes you up

Since the NRC Nightmare cast is trapped in Halloween Town with nowhere to sleep, they all end up camping out in the Assembly Hall and have to sleep on the pew benches 😭

The reason I want to talk about this is because it reveals a lot about some of the character's morning routines we didn't know yet which I find funny and cute

It starts with Sebek, who has been awake since before the sun rose, becoming everyone's alarm clock

He makes it a point to wake up early every morning so that he can be presentable as early as possible lmao (also he has no problem sleeping in hard places, so long as he has a roof over his head he's content. It's all that training he does lol)

Jamil can't even fathom how Sebek can wake up refreshed without an alarm clock (because Jamil always needs an alarm clock to wake up) and Sebek's just like 'I'm built different'

He also reveals that Skully left earlier to watch the sunrise and will be back.

Of the people Sebek woke up with his yelling, there's MC, Grim, Jamil, Epel, Idia, Riddle, Trey, Vil and Azul

The people who DIDN'T wake up are Leona, Malleus, and Jade.

Malleus sleeps like a vampire lmao

One moment he's asleep, the next moment he's instantly completely awake (Trey also comments that he wakes up looking perfect too like damn)

Jade finds hard surfaces oh so comfy from his many camping trips and is also just equally unbothered by Sebek's screaming.

Then there's master eeper Leona who, despite complaining, sleeps well literally anywhere to other's jealousy

When Skully comes back it's revealed he straight up didn't sleep at all. What was he doing the whole night before getting up to walk around and watch the sunrise 🤨

Either way, I thought this interaction was fun and I learned something new about everyone, hopefully they can get actual blankets soon.
